CASE STUDY ARCHIVE

Websites and tools for teams we only meet on a call

Most paid work is not a named brand in a press release. It is a Fiverr order, an Upwork contract, or an email. This is how those jobs actually run.

Client Clients on Fiverr, Upwork, and direct contracts
Result Remote jobs on the client's hours. Same team. They own the repo.
BACKGROUND CONTEXT

Overview

We will not invent a 'Global Retailer' and a CTO named John to look bigger.

A typical job: someone in London, Texas, or Sydney needs a site, an admin tool, or an app. They find us on Fiverr, Upwork, or from a previous job. We never share an office. We do share Slack and their daytime.

This page is the pattern, not a composite of stolen metrics. If you need a logo-on-a-slide case study with a 200% conversion lift we cannot show, we are the wrong vendor to copy.
CHALLENGE STATEMENT

The Challenge

Marketplace briefs are short. Timezones are not. The failure mode is a new contractor every Monday and a demo at 11pm. Clients also worry that a Pakistan team means they will never own the code.

Project Goals

  • Overlap the client's working day
  • Keep the same engineers from kickoff to launch
  • Invoice in a currency they can pay
  • Hand over the repo when the work is paid
PHASE 01

Discovery & Research

The first call is usually "can you do this, and when are you awake?" We answer both before we talk stack. If the job is ads or a logo, we say we are the wrong people.
PHASE 02

Our Strategy

One small team. Written scope. Milestones they can refuse. UK, US, or Australian hours on the calendar. GBP, USD, or AUD when that is what they pay in.
PHASE 03

The Solution

Websites, internal tools, and apps with a shared backend when both exist. They get the repository. We do not keep a hostage zip. DeskOS and CountOS stay ours; client work does not.
PHASE 04

Implementation Details

Slack or Upwork messages during their day. A weekly call. Staging they can click. We do not staff a night shift theatre. We overlap.

Key Features Delivered

Same people on the job
Hours that match the client
Clear invoices
Code handed over

What happened

Remote jobs on the client's hours. Same team. They own the repo.

WHAT HAPPENED Jobs start on Fiverr, Upwork, and email — we do not hide that
WHAT HAPPENED Calls sit on the client's clock, not a fake 24/7 pod
WHAT HAPPENED They own the code after the agreed payment
WHAT HAPPENED No invented conversion percentages on this page

Lessons Learned

Google and clients both punish fake case studies. Naming DeskOS and CountOS, and admitting marketplace work, is slower to write and stronger to defend. We would rather have three true pages than thirty invented brands.

Country & result
