Overview
DeskOS is ours. We did not write a brochure and hire someone else to code it.
Schools in Pakistan already know the pain: fee challan in one file, attendance in a register, results in Word. Parents call the office because nobody can see a balance. We built one admin dashboard and matching portals for teachers, parents, and students.

CHALLENGE STATEMENT
The Challenge
Most school software we saw was either an imported English ERP that ignored challan and result-card habits here, or a local tool that died when the vendor disappeared. Campuses also needed multi-branch control without buying a second system.
Project Goals
- One login for the office instead of five tools
- Fee challan parents can actually pay against
- Attendance and results that teachers will use
- A parent app so the office phone rings less
PHASE 01
Discovery & Research
We sat with administrators, not a slide deck. The jobs that mattered every week were admissions, fee defaulters, attendance SMS, exam marks, and payroll. If those five were slow, the rest of the "AI suite" did not matter.
PHASE 02
Our Strategy
Ship a modular admin first. Then teacher and parent apps that share the same backend. Do not invent a Silicon Valley workflow. Match how a Pakistani school already prints a challan and a result card.
PHASE 03
The Solution
DeskOS is a web admin plus teacher, parent, and student portals. Modules cover the academic year: admissions, fees, barcode attendance, syllabus, exams, result cards with the school logo, and payroll. Multi-branch groups get campus-level reporting.
PHASE 04
Implementation Details
We build and host it ourselves. When a school asks for a change — family challan, a new report, an extra role — the same team that wrote the first version still answers.

Lessons Learned
Schools will not adopt a tool that fights their challan. Local first-hand use beats a generic "EdTech platform" page. We still get asked for features we do not have. We say no when it would turn the product into sludge.
